Summary: 
Telling ghost stories is a favorite past time of Mai Taniyama and her friends–that is, until she meets 17 year-old Kazuya Shibuya, the man sent by Shibuya Psychic Research Center to investigate paranormal activity at a supposedly haunted school. When Mai gets caught in a dangerous situation, she is rescued by Kazuya’s assistant. Saving her lands the assistant incapacitated, and Kazuya demands that Mai become his assistant, instead…
A person like me who dislike horror movies n stuff, ended up liking this anime? This prove how good the anime is!
Based from manga by Shiho Inada, story by Fuyumi Ono… tats mean the original story is from a novel. Comparing to manga version, the drawings of the character was so much better, Mai (the main character) who look’s so much cuter! But of course the manga is much more detail with the character life style, where anime focus on the cases. Love the ending theme as the instrument sounds so peaceful, however the opening theme of the songs (also instrument) really creep me out!! Yeeeek!!!
I’m kind of sad when the anime end so soon (25 episode only) but luckily the story is not over yet! Is still ongoing for manga, meaning, there is a possibility there will produce second season or OAV. Yay! (i saw a light of hope!) The anime ended the story at around volume 9 which if i’m not mistaken the manga latest release is volume 10. I’m now searching for it but it is soooo hard to find tat manga. Sigh.

After watching the anime, there so many uncertainty, luckily i found this blog which answer some of my question, “Who is the person in Mai’s dream who looks exactly like Naru?” “What did Masako use to threaten Naru? Well, after reading this blog, i felt like reading the novel by Fuyumi Ono but i don’t think there is a translate one and it was an old novel which still hanging half way where all the fans was hoping that the author will continue the series… sigh. Let’s pray that she’ll come out one… ha-ha.

Not bad, but there is some slow part.. however something to spend my time over the weekend!
I also downloaded the full episode from realitylapse.com. RMVB format made it more easier for me to play the anime.
I have not watched the complete full episode and most of the other episode summary comes from “THAT” animeblog by Impz.
Its a very interesting anime indeed. Their manga can be found at “Del Rey” website albeit the drawing is not as nice as the one from the anime. Heck, anime drawing is always the best in term of Naru and Mai kawaiiness.
Anyway I still vote for Naru X Mai pairing.
I think Naru have a super 6th Sense since he is always there saving Mai whenever she comes to trouble. Like he just know it when Mai going to be in trouble and he will be there, are both of them connected by ESP and PK or something or more like Gene X Mai X Naru connections?
Yap, Naru have both ESP and psychokinesis abilities, and yes he has ability to read both the past and the future. In fact his is the famous ‘Oliver Davis’ which was mention in episode 19, File 7.
However the story did not state whether they are connected or not, but it seems to me there is 2 connection Gene x Mai (Mai’s dream, vision), Naru x Mai (Naru’s ability). I guess Gene tries to connect to Naru but he always failed to, the reason he failed is still unknown.
And of course i hope tat Naru n Mai as a couple, and hope that Gene not to come to Mai’s dreams so often but Naru…
